Proposed 2020-2023 TIP Amendments
Public Hearing and More Inforation
The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG) held a public hearing at the Metro COG Conference Room – 1 2nd Street North, Suite 232, in Fargo, North Dakota on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. to consider public comments regarding a proposed amendment to the 2020-2023 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the FM Metropolitan Area. Because of the preliminary nature of TIP Amendment #3, the public hearing was continued until the next Transportation Technical Committee (TTC) meeting in the same location described above, on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. There will also be a public hearing for TIP Amendment #4 on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
The proposed Amendment #3 to the 2020-2023 TIP reflects a new rural transit grant award through the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA). A public notice was published in the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead on Monday, March 30, 2020, advertising a public hearing and detailing public comment information such as where to send written comments regarding the proposed amendment. It was advertised that public comments would be accepted until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, April 16, 2020, however, the comment period has been extended to Thursday, May 21, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and resulting Stay at Home Order for Minnesotans, the final information regarding the grant award has not yet been finalized for TIP Amendment #3, and only preliminary information is available. Please find the preliminary amendment information to the right under TIP Amendment #3 resources. This page will be updated when the final information is available.
The proposed Amendment #4 to the 2020-2023 TIP reflects a new North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) project using Federal Surface Transportation Block Grant Program - Urban (STBGP-U) funds. A public notice was published in the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, advertising a public hearing and detailing public comment information such as where to send written comments regarding the proposed amendment. Comments will be accepted until Thursday, May 21, 2020.
