Frequently Asked Questions

A corridor study is a planning project to determine transportation system needs. It assesses existing conditions, future traffic projections, safety, mobility, and determines short term and long term improvement options for a corridor.

A recent study of the Highway 10 corridor through Dilworth identified the need to consider alternate east/west corridors that could be improved to provide an additional route for traffic accessing I-94, eastbound Hwy 10 or retail businesses. 15th Ave N was identified as one of those alternate corridors.

The corridor study will be completed by the end of 2024. A timeline for future improvements is unknown at this time. However, the study will evaluate the potential for future projects and funding opportunities which will be needed before future project development can occur.

The corridor study is funded by federal funds through Fargo Moorhead MetroCOG. The study will help to determine roadway ownership and potential funding options for future projects. More information will be available at the conclusion of the study.
