Metropolitan Transportation Plan
Welcome to the Fargo-Moorhead Long Range Transportation Plan!
The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG) is in the process of updating its Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The LRTP, which is called “Metro Grow”, will establish a vision for transportation across the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area through the year 2045. The Metro Grow plan will consist of several communities, including Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, Dilworth, Horace, and portions of Cass and Clay Counties. The LRTP update will identify an action plan how our region can address our long-term mobility, safety and access needs through investments in our transportation system. The plan will be developed to meet our community’s goals, needs, and priorities. Metro Grow will take a multi-modal approach to our transportation system as we consider potential future investments in the roadway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian and freight systems for the region.
